La videocamera IP Vivotek IP7153 è equipaggiata con un sensore CCD da 1/4" SONY a scansione progressiva che assicura qualità superiore e un'ottima nitidezza delle immagini che la rendono ottima per impieghi professionali come sorveglianza di banche, aeroporti, parcheggi, controllo del traffico etc. Le immagini catturate hanno una risoluzione di 640 x 480 a 30fps e dispone di un filtro infrarosso rimovibile che consente di avere un'ottima qualità anche in condizioni di scarsa illuminazione.
Il processore interno permette di generare uno stream doppio con differenti risoluzioni e qualità video per PC (MPEG-4 o MJPEG) o per cellulare 3G (MPEG-4). Il 3GPP permette il monitoraggio di ambienti per mezzo di cellulari 3G. E' dotata di un microfono integrato e di un connettore per un microfono esterno, di un connettore per un uscita audio e di uno switch digital I/O per sensori ed allarmi esterni. La connessione al PC avviene tramite LAN 10/100Mbps (RJ-45) che supporta anche la tecnologia PoE. La gestione avviene tramite Web Browser o software che permette anche la visualizzazione dei video provenienti da 32 webcam diverse contemporaneamente.
