La IP Camera VIVOTEK SD7151 dispone di un sensore CCD a scansione progressiva, soluzione ottimale per le riprese di oggetti in movimento, migliore rispetto ai tradizionali sensori a scansione interlacciata. Dispone inoltre di un obiettivo con zoom ottico 18x, che la rende ottima per la sorveglianza sia piccoli locali che in ampie aree come parcheggi o grandi magazzini e può essere installata anche in ambienti esterni perchè la sua struttura è impermeabile. Dotata di visione diurna a colori con filtro taglia-infrarossi e visione notturna in monocromatico fino ad una luminosità di 0,38 lux senza filtro.
Le sue funzioni di pan e tilt le permettono di essere ruotata orizzontalmente per 360° e verticalmente per un angolo di 90° il tutto con il semplice uso del mouse o di un joystick. Permette la sorveglianza via Web o tramite cellulare attraverso la trasmissione con codifica 3GPP. Tra le connessioni trovano spazio: un ingresso per microfono esterno, un'uscita audio, un connettore RJ-45, un connettore per l'alimentatore e il terminale I/O per la gestione di eventi ed allarmi. In dotazione viene fornito il software di configurazione, con il quale è possibile la visualizzazione e la registrazione di un massimo di 16 IP Camera contemporaneamente.
